About Size It Up

Size It Up is a small, independent browser game about one question: how big is that, really? It's built for a few minutes a day — five shapes, one blueprint, and a number that tells you how good your eye for scale has become.

Where the sizes come from

Each object uses a typical adult size or an official specification from a public reference. Where sizes vary — which whale, with or without the antenna — the fact shown after each round says what is being measured. The full list is in the size reference chart.

Artwork

Every silhouette in Size It Up is an original, simplified vector drawing made for this site. Proportions are approximate; the measured side (height, length, width or diameter) matches the stated value exactly.

How Size It Up works

  1. Look. The solid blue shape is your yardstick — drawn at true scale, with its real size marked.
  2. Stretch. Drag across the board (or pinch, slide, use ← →) to resize the dashed white outline until it feels right.
  3. Measure! The real size snaps in as a yellow outline. Your accuracy earns up to ★★★.

Five shapes a day, the same for everyone. Can you get all 15 stars?
